  • Each language in Words R Us is organized along the same lines. Click on the Language tab, then choose the language you wish to explore. Within the language page you will find resources for learning the language, a search box to look up a word and groupings of vocabulary terms for the language paired with one of the 'top 10' languages, most commonly English and French.
WordsRUs is built on Wordnet developed by Princeton University and thus English is at the core of the database. Regardless of the language you choose to explore, the language definitions and visual mappings of the relationships is based on English. Work is on-going at many universities around the world to create parallel Wordnets with their language as the base. In instances where a Wordnet is active in another language, we link to it from that language page.
